Edgybees has launched a new augmented reality (AR) game for mobile devices that’s compatible with DJI drones like the Phantom 4 and the compact Mavic Pro. Called the Drone Prix AR, it allows drone pilots to improve their flying skills in a safe and fun way.
The point of the game is to fly the drone through a virtual obstacle course while avoiding obstacles along the way and collecting prizes that are available. You have the option of racing against the clock in order to beat your previous score or competing with other users from all over the world.

There are more than 30 obstacle courses available with different levels of difficulty, which means that the game is suitable for both beginners and more experienced drone pilots. You can check out what it looks like in the short video below.
Menashe Haskin, the CTO & co-founder of Edgybees, said that the main idea behind Drone Prix AR is to combine the joys of flying and the thrills of gamification. He also added that unlike flight simulators, the game offers a more immersive experience as it brings virtual obstacles together with real-life piloting skills.
Drone Prix AR is easy to set up. Just download it to your mobile device and once the drone, remote controller, and game are powered on and connected, select the course you want to try out and you’re good to go. It is already available for Android and iOS devices. You can get it down below.
