Star Wars fans who have had fantasies of piloting the Millennium Falcon or other vehicles from the sci-fi franchise won’t have long to wait before at least some of their dreams become reality. Pre-orders for the four official Star Wars drones from Propel will begin on Tuesday, Nov. 22, with each of them costing $230.

The Millennium Falcon, TIE Fighter, X-Wing and Imperial speeder bike quadcopter aerial drones will go on sale via Brookstone, among other retailers, on that day. They have been design to go as fast as 35mph, and the Millennium Falcon can even reach 50mph. The biggest feature is that the drones can engage in laser tag battles in the air with as many as 24 vehicles supported in battles.

We suspect that these drones will sell out quickly when pre-orders begin, but the good news is that if you are lucky enough to get one, they should start shipping the week of December 5. We can imagine that once these drones get into the hands of Star Wars fans, there will be lots of “space battles” above public parks. Are you planning on jumping in to get one or more of these drones? If so, may the Force be with you.
